How to Wall Mount a Plasma Or Lcd on a Plasterboard Wall

This is the way I wall mount a plasma or LCD TV on a plasterboard wall.

First, adjust the TV console to the TV, ignore the Wall part at this time. Follow the instructions to mount manufacturers, which use them to use screws and washers supplied. Make sure that the screws are tight, but not more than meager. The clips I use are the long rail type that will most likely span two beams in a breeding plasterboard wall.

First, decide where on theplasterboard wall you want to mount the TV. Mark the center position on the plasterboard wall and a line where you want the bottom of the plasma to be. I use a spirit level to do this. If you are mounting it over a fireplace mark the middle of the mantelpiece and use the spirit level to take the line vertically up to where the center of the wall mount will go. To get the height of the wall mount, measure from the bottom of the plasma screen to the Beginning of the "hook" of the TV mount. Transfer Now that the measurement on the wall. Measure of the line where we wanted the bottom of the screen to go the distance measured. This will ensure you get the plasma TV at the height you have imagined him.

Now the Wall provides the center line and the line for the measured height. Use your spirit level to ensure that the wall mount is straight. Mark the holes on the wall.

There aretwo types of gypsum board walls. It is "point-and DAB", where the plasterboard on the masonry block stuck with an adhesive. The other is the partition wall. You can tell if you dot and dab by tapping have the plasterboard. If there is a solid-sounding parts of the wall about 600mm apart, then it is dot and dab. This is the preferred place to drill the holes. The reason for this is that if you do not tighten the screws on the plasterboard move into and crack on. Normally, whenthe bracket includes a pair of these fixed bits then you will be OK. Make sure that you fix the TV bracket here. If the TV does not include holding two fixed then dabs maybe you need a professional!

If the plasterboard is a stud wall if you select the TV bracket holes will hopefully see at least one tunnel and fix it, so take the weight of the plasma or LCD. One is usually enough to see the weight, like most flat-screen TVs are very bright, so this day.Put a few extra mounts in any way to stop the holder from sliding scale. I normally use the butterfly fastenings for that type. Make sure at least one pair of fasteners into the wood, but if the wall to get wet from a flood or leaking pipes, and you do not have fixing in wood plasma or LCD would hit the deck!

If you are sure you have good fittings and wall bracket is level, you can hang your TV.
