If you buy on the market an HD TV, then I'm sure you've found out a lot more to know about the purchase of TV is being now than before. Ten years ago, all you would do was go into the store, take a look at the screens, then buy what looked best for you. You do not have to worry about compatibility with various video game systems, Blu-Ray, even computers.

Well, things have changed. Now you need to get a little education before you buy an HD-TV. Let's see whatyou need to know.

Basically, you need to understand who is doing the TV and who are the best company to buy from. You need to understand a resolution, in particular, which is defined as high-definition. Understanding the difference between plasma and LCD technology is important. Finally, always on a really, what are you to your TV for use will help you the correct grip.

Let's go through each in turn.

Manufacturer

There are several bigManufacturers of HD TV's, but the four most important being Sony, Samsung, Toshiba and Panasonic. I would like to be able to tell you that one much better than the other three, but that's not the case. Samsung seems to have a larger selection, but the other three producers have plenty to choose from, too!

Resolution

TV is currently available in three resolutions, 480, 720, and come 1080th Now there's a little more clarity than the resolution, such as the TV really createsthe picture, but you must know, at least, those three numbers and what they mean.

The figures refer to the number of lines to HD-TV scans the screen in one pass. The higher the number, the higher the resolution. Only 720 and 1080 are considered "high definition". 480 are, look good on a smaller circle, but they are no longer that Hi-Def effect!

LCD vs Plasma

Between these two there are no real winners. LCD TV's are lighter and therefore easier to assembleon the wall. your screens may also reflect less light than plasma screens. They also use less electricity.

On the other hand, some people think plasma images have deeper colors - they look more movies! Part of the problem with plasma TVs is that they are heavy. They are harder on the wall. Larger TV requires additional bracing, if you mount it. You can also burn-in on the screen moreslightly.

Used

Finally, if you decide to buy HD TV, you have to really know what you want it to think for. Use it only to cable and watch DVDs, or you want to play video games on?
